We here at Idaho River Land are new to the blogging world but we’re going to jump in feet first to bring you not only fun facts on our area but also tips, facts and anything real estate-related with our new blog!!
Let’s start with how awesome of an area we live in! The Kamiah and Kooskia areas are rich in history as well as beauty. One of the bigger draws to our area is the hunting, fishing, and river rafting. We have amazing guides for all the above and it’s also an easy area to go it alone (maybe not for rafting unless you’re very experienced! haha) I’ve noticed that a lot of newer people that have moved into either town have done so because they were brought here to hunt or fish with family or friends and decided it was a great place to hang their hat. We definitely have a slower, quieter pace of life here and its addictive!
Since we sit on the beautiful Clearwater River that runs from Lewiston Idaho all the way to Lowell Idaho where it turns into the Lochsa and Selway Rivers, it is a perfect place for world class fishing. Not only do the rivers bring fishermen, hunters, and campers but also river rafters in the spring and summer months. The Lochsa river is known for epic river rafting! There are plenty of river guides to help you go on the trip of a lifetime! We’ve included pictures of one of our own families rafting the Lochsa with Three Rivers Rafting Company and a video from Jon Conti just to show you how exciting this river run can be.
